SASS-N-GLO: CRANBERRY COCKTAIL

With Cranberry being our flavor of the week, what better way to celebrate this delicious berry than by making a yummy cocktail!?

First lets start off with fresh cranberry juice.

Simply add 8 cups of cranberries and 8 cups water to a large saucepan – Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.After, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, continuing to stir occasionally. All the berries should have popped open and should be a little mushy at by this point. After, place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the berries into it. Discard the berries (or save for baking, or anything else.) Pour honey into the bowl if you’d like to sweeten your juice (about a cup). Stir until the honey is dissolved completely!

Allow the juice to cool about an hour so it’s not too hot to handle. Pour the reserved juice into a ½ gallon container (preferably glass) and store in the refrigerator.

Once you’re juice is nice and cold, we came across the perfect cocktail to try with your freshly made juice.
