Spring has sprung and we are ready to meet it head on! Sip-N-Glo is teaming up with the indoor cycling phenomenon, Flywheel, to get you Glo-ing from the inside out!

Join us at Flywheel Center City on April 2, 2016 at 1:30pm for a Sip-N-Glo themed 45 minute class. Top 5 male and female Torqboard riders will receive a free Sip-N-Glo drink of their choice. 6th-10th place male and female Torqboard riders will receive a 50% off coupon redeemable at any Sip-N-Glo location. We’ll also be handing out some Glo Gear throughout class, just to sweeten the deal a bit.

Introducing the 2016 Glo Challenge!

We are SO excited to introduce our Glo Challenge! Starting a new year has many of us creating healthy goals. If that’s you, you’ve started and you're on the right track to creating lasting, healthy habits and we want to challenge you to keep it glo-ing all through February and beyond!

The Challenge:

The Glo Challenge is a program where you enjoy a 16oz juice or smoothie from either Sip-N-Glo location that will be kept track of on a punch card. If you do not have the time to come in everyday, we welcome you to buy in bulk for the week and it will be honored on the punch card.

Why?:

Statistically speaking, just 8% of  New Year’s resolutions are achieved. We wanted to create a tool to keep you on track for your goal this year. With the Glo Challenge, those healthy resolutions you set for yourself January 1st become habitual when incorporating a wellness drink into your daily routine. Whether you simply need more greens or are seeking eating habits, we have your back. At Sip-N-Glo, we believe in making health enjoyable and accessible. Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving!

We teamed up with Grateful Plate this Thanksgiving to bring you an awesome healthy cocktail and side pairing! Tis the season to be grateful and GLO-ing!

Holiday Glo Cocktail
For one serving:
1oz Cranberry Juice
2oz Apple Juice
2 Shakes Cinnamon
1.5 Art in the Age Snap (can substitute for Whiskey)
A Few Dashes of Orange Bitters
Served Over Ice

For four servings:
4 oz Cranberry Juice
8 oz Apple Juice
8 Shakes Cinnamon
6 oz Art in the Age Snap (can substitute for Whiskey)
A Few Dashes of Orange Bitters
Served Over Ice

Roasted Root Vegetables with Herb Oil & Splash of Balsamic

1 Rutabaga, peeled and chopped into medium dice
1 Turnip, peeled and cut into medium dice
3 Parsnips, peeled and cut into half moons
2 Carrots, peeled and cut into half moons
2 Tablespoons Herb Oil *
2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
2 teaspoons Herbs De Provence
Pinch of Sea Salt

Directions
Preheat oven to 375*F.  

Place all vegetables into a large mixing bowl, mix with herb oil, balsamic and dried herbs. Toss to combine.

Pour vegetables into a 9x13 inch ovenproof casserole and roast, uncovered, for 15 minutes.  

After 15 minutes, stir your vegetables and roast another 15 minutes or until vegetables are soft.  

Herb Oil Recipe
½ Bunch Parsley, cleaned
½ Bunch Basil, cleaned
½ Bunch Oregano, cleaned
1 Tablespoon Sea Salt
2 Cups Olive Oil

Directions
Add all ingredients to a high power blender.  Blend for 30=60 minutes or until all fresh herbs are mixed with the olive oil.  

Keeps in your refrigerator for 1 week.

KNOW YOUR GLO: TUMERIC

As the Philly Marathon looms and the weather becomes perfect for a brisk Fall run, tumeric has become our best friend. Tumeric is fantastic for joint recovery and strengthening as well as a great natural way to boost the immunity of many other organs! It’s flavor profile is reminiscent of orange and ginger, which allows an extra helping of tumeric in really any of our juices and, as an added bonus, you can add it yourself to any of your juices on the house! Happy Rum Day!

We put together a special Rum Punch recipe you can use today and all summer long! We recommend using your favorite spiced or coconut rum. We like Sailor Jerry and Cruzan Coconut. 

If you're only having one or two cocktails, here's the recipe you can use. (1-2 servings makes about 16 oz of juice). Add rum and pour over ice in your favorite pint glass!

  • 8 1/4oz coconut water
  • 2oz pineapple juice
  • 3/4oz lime juice
  • 4 1/2oz orange juice
  • 1/2oz ginger

If you want to make enough for you're entire party (10-12 servings) , use this recipe! 

Gallon size measurement in cups (before rum)
Produce to prep: 

  • 3 limes
  • 1 large pineapple
  • 8 oranges
  • 1 large ginger hunk
  • And 8 1/4c coconut water

After you've prepped your produce, juice and combine everything listed below. 

  • 8 1/4 c coconut water
  • 2 c pineapple
  • 3/4 c lime
  • 4 1/2 c orange
  • 1/2 c ginger

We're loving getting Peachy keen this August. We never knew this sweet and delicious summer snack had so many health benefits. From relieving anxiety to keeping us glo-ing, this fruit has it all! 

  •  Peaches are the perfect snack food for losing weight. A peach makes you feel full and keeps you from overeating. The bonus: one peach only contains about 35-50 calories and no fat!
